About the artist

Mark Brown is a found object artist.  Each one of his robots is created from discarded cookie tins, soda cans, and bottle caps.  For fifteen years, Mark has been designing and crafting these unique pieces in his Massachusetts studio, Boss-Brown Art. 

Trained as a painter, Mark now uses the canisters and various parts as his palette, transforming them into a cohesive line of work.  The concept is creating something out of nothing; transforming the ordinary.  His work can be appreciated on many levels, from playful objet d’art, to “green” sculpture.  Mark’s robots provide humor, color, and a pop sensibility.
